Cycle of Seasons

Cycle of Seasons

As the new day dawns, starts the new year,

People all around the world celebrate this day

Is cold in the North and warmer in the Southern Hemisphere,

All of them on this day are happy and gay.

Each day passes, rather slowly than being swift,

In the northernmost part, life becomes hard and tough

But in the south, weather at this time is a god’s gift,

In the north, the climate is harsh and rough.

Come February, and the times change a little,

The intense cold in the north becomes calm and kind

As January has passed, the condition of the people has been brittle,

Out of this condition, their own way they have to find.

As this month promises to provide a bit of relief from the cold,

Times similarly start changing in the south

They themselves prepare to get bold,

As winter now approaches them, without doubt.

And then comes March, a new season,

Just one month left for spring in the North

People there have a new life to begin, for they have a reason,

The season goes back and forth.

O spring! April arrives,

Flowers bloom, nature in the north appears beautiful

Winter strikes in the south, the people there thrive,

The earth appears to act ironical.

In the north, it’s the most beautiful time of the year,

But in the south it becomes equally worst

There, the people chant Dear O’ dear!

For it is what happens, when due to sadness, someone wants to burst.

But the joy in the North isn’t for long,

As the next month diminishes the happiness

Comes summer chanting a song,

Giving a warning of its approach, a worldly mess.

The land begins to heat up, it’s May,

The plants begin to dry,

Conditions becomes bad day by day,

They pray to thy!

June, July, both show same signs unchanged,

Hot in the north, but colder down

Over a very long range,

When they end, the leaves dry brown.

So comes autumn, the leaves shed,

Spring in the south, trees get their leaves growing

The trees in the north seem upset,

But back in south, the farmers begin sowing.

Three months pass, and again the winter raids,

November it is, spring in the south has gone

And when the month December fade’s,

This cycle of season, continues to go on.
